Hello, and welcome to the Business and Biotechnology Consortium website!
The Business and Biotechnology Consortium (BBC) is a University of Wisconsin-Madison student-run organization that promotes leadership in the
bridging of science and business in industries such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and healthcare. We are a forum for ideas and actions linking students, scientists, and professionals from leading universities, businesses, and non-profit organizations. We are encouraging involvement from all undergraduates, graduates, medical, veterinary, pharmacy, and law students who have an interest in science and business to come and join our newly formed organization!!

Recent News
Co-founders of the BBC, Kunal Desai (MS-Biotech, '09), Jessica Martion (MS-Biotech, '09), and Kevin Engholdt (MS-Biotech, '09) recently attend the Wharton Business School Healthcare conference (see pics below). Overall, it was an incredible experience!! Speakers included the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) commissioner, the CEO of Eli Lilly, and other high level healthcare executive panels. There were business students, medical students, venture capitalists, and many other interested business/science people there to network with and learn from. The cost of the conference was only $20 for students - can't beat it!! You never know, $20 for your next greatest job opportunity!! We hope to have more conference outings coming up in the spring of 2008 (see our conference listings in the "Resources" section of our site)
